Dear Brother Knights,
Please be informed that our monthly meeting will be this Wednesday the 4th of November. It is imperative that everyone try to attend. This is an important time of year for the Knights. We have much to discuss. St. Pius X Church Social Hall at 6pm.
Again, please make every effort to attend.
Deputy Grand Knight
Brother Knights and Friends of Council 3956 –
Our January Regular Business Meeting, normally scheduled for the 1st non-holiday Wednesday of the Month (which would have been this Wednesday) has been RESCHEDULED FOR WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15th. Dinner begins around 6PM. Meeting begins at 7PM.
Next Sunday, January 12th, we are again hosting our Charity Family Breakfast. We have a few Brother Knights and Ladies that are under the weather, so we really need everyone’s help to make it a successful event.
Set a couple of New Year’s Resolutions in 2020 and…
1. Come to more meetings (like the one on January 15th)
2. Help with more Council events (like the one on January 12th)
We hope to see you at the next activity and meeting! God Bless!
Update from DGK Bill Robert:
Our Grand Knight, Bob LaForest, has confirmed that our next meeting will be Wednesday, March 13th. Donut Sunday is March 24. Please try to attend this upcoming meeting.
Deputy Grand Knight
Per our Deputy Grand Knight Bill Robert:
Our general meeting which was scheduled for Wednesday, March 6 is Ash Wednesday. Our Grand Knight, Bob LaForrest, is working with Lou to reschedule the meeting. I will send out an email when we know the new date.
The Council 3956 September Regular Business Meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 7PM. It will be held at the St. Pius X Social Hall. There will be a light meal following the meeting. We hope that you can join us!
Due to the 4th of July holiday, our July Business Meeting will be postponed until Wednesday, July 11th at 7PM in the St. Pius X Social Hall.
My Brother Knights,
VIVAT JESUS! This is just a reminder that there is a Regular Business Meeting on Wednesday, April 4th starting at 7PM in the St. Pius X Social Hall.
We will be opening nominations for Council Officers at that time. If you are interested in helping our Council by becoming an Officer, please attend this meeting. If you would like to know more about a specific position, feel free to attend the meeting or email me (raybilyk(at)kofc3956.org). If you cannot attend the meeting, but are interested in running for a position, please email me as well. (A great PDF pamphlet with descriptions of the Officers and their responsibilities can be found HERE.) After tonight, nominations will be tabled until the May 2nd Regular Business Meeting, where we will ask for nominations once more, close nominations and elect Officers.
A VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER… There are at least 2 Officers (Deputy Grand Knight Dave Sajdak and myself) that will NOT be running for those offices again! We REALLY NEED Brother Knights to step up and run for offices this year. I am serious when I say this: If I can do it, you can also!
NOTE: You must be a 3rd Degree member by June 30th in order to become an Officer. (Don’t worry… there are still 2nd and 3rd Degree Initiations being held before then, including one we are hosting on Sunday, June 24th.)
We will also be discussing our Coffee & Donuts/Membership Drive on Sunday, April 8th, our Charity Family Breakfast and Tootsie Roll Drive on Sunday, April 15th and other upcoming events.
Hope to see you all there! God Bless!
Ray Bilyk – Grand Knight
My Brother Knights,
As I’ve mentioned for the past 4 months, our November Business Meeting has been moved from November 1st to November 8th because Wednesday, November 1st is All Saints’ Day, a Holy Day of Obligation.
Also, on Sunday, November 5th, we will be holding our Council Memorial Mass and Corporate Communion at the St Pius X Parish 9:30AM Mass. Dress for this event is coat and tie. (Please arrive at least 15 minutes earlier so that we can process and sit together.) We hope that all of you can attend, as we have lost some amazing people over the past year!
