Upcoming Special Events for January and February 2024

There are some SPECIAL upcoming events and we wanted to share them with YOU!

Men’s Scripture Club (Cor) – Starting January 20th in the Social Hall. 7:30 to 9:00am. We will meet once a month to start off. We will discuss that weeks Sunday readings and reflect upon them. Arrive a little early for coffee/donuts. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A KNIGHT OF COLUMBUS TO ATTEND! OPEN TO ALL MEN!!! Please see Brian Batko after Mass if you have any questions and would like to join us.

Shrine and Stein Bus Trip – We’ve rescheduled this to Saturday, February 3rd . Bus leaves at 8:00am sharp to go to the Our Lady of Consolation Shrine in Carey, OH. Self-guided tour of the Shrine with a Healing Mass at 11:00am and blessing afterwards with a relic of the True Cross. We will then stop at the Patron Saints Brewery in Toledo, a Catholic owned brewery. Food truck available or you can bring your own lunch. $50 per person and includes one beverage at the Brewery. Non-alcoholic Craft Root Beer available. We will return about 5:30pm. See Brian Batko after Mass starting next weekend to sign up.

Annual Desert Meal – Sunday, February 18th at Crystal Gardens. Come meet and support the Seminarians for their trip to the Holy Land or possibly Rome this year. It’s always a great event and meeting our future priests is sure to strengthen your faith with their vocation stories. Full meal with 2 meats, pasta, potatoes, vegetable, salad, rolls, coffee, tea, and dessert. Cash bar available. Tickets are $20 and are available in the Parish office or after Mass starting on the 21st.

Passing of Carmen Ibarra, Mother of Brother Knight Henry Ibarra

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carmen Ibarra, Mother of Brother Knight Henry Ibarra.

The Visitation Services will be Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Martenson Funeral Home, Allen Park Chapel at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, from 4pm to 8pm.

COUNCIL 3956 ROSARY CHAIN IS ACTIVATED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ROSARY ON THURSDAY, MARCH 16th AT 7pm WITH THE ST PIUS X PARISH ROSARY ALTAR CONFRATERNITY.

She will be In State on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 9:30-10am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 14101 Superior, Southgate. The Mass of Resurrection is Friday, March 17, 2023 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 14101 Superior in Southgate at 10am.

May her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.

Volunteers Needed – Coats for Kids Distribution in Ecorse

Brother Knights, Family and Friends of Council 3956 (and District 105),

District 105 (hosted by Robert Jones Council 3956) is having a Coats for Kids Distribution THIS SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13th at St. André Bessette Parish (4250 W Jefferson Ave, Ecorse, MI 48229) from 10AM to 1PM.

We need VOLUNTEERS to help with setup, distribution and cleanup for this event!!! Please plan on being there by 9AM to assist with setup, but if you can’t make it then, please come anyway to assist. Many hands make light work!!!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED THIS WEEKEND – M.I. Drive for Mentally Impaired (Tootsie Roll Drive)

Brother Knights, family and friends,

Thanks to our Council Warden Larry Rossi, we got permission to solicit funds (and hand out Tootsie Rolls) on this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the intersection of Eureka and Dix/Toledo Roads from 9AM to 4PM.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS to make this weekend a success!

We are also soliciting donations at ALL of the St. Pius X Parish doors after all of the Masses (Saturday 4PM Mass, and Sunday 9AM and 11AM Masses).
