My Brother Knights,

VIVAT JESUS!

THANK YOU to those of you Brother Knights that have already signed up to help with our Dime Toss Booth. We are looking for more people to assist there and with the Craft Beer Booth that we are handling on Sunday ONLY. To sign up, please follow the link below:

If you still have any glasses/cups/mugs for our WORLD FAMOUS Dime Toss Booth, you can bring them in person this weekend. We can always use more!

I’m attaching a flyer for the festival so you know the hours and what’s happening. Our WORLD FAMOUS Dime Toss Booth will be in the Game Tent, and we’ve also been asked to help on Sunday in the new Beer Garden.

This festival is very important for us because this is also our MEMBERSHIP DRIVE WEEKEND! We can use EVERYONE who attends to assist in asking eligible Catholics to join us in our good works… that they can see with their own eyes! I’ll make it interesting… FOR EVERY PROPOSER WHO BRINGS IN A NEW MEMBER (and they join us), I WILL GIVE THEM A $5 GIFT CARD FOR LITTLE CAESARS (or a $5 donation in your name to St. Pius)! (No, I don’t get a discount on the pizzas… I wish!) Ask anyone and everyone to join us in the Knights of Columbus!

Next Wednesday, September 6th at 7PM, we will be holding our monthly meeting in the St Pius Social Hall. Please attend if you can. We have a lot to discuss, so we would really like you to know what’s going on.

Hope to see you at the festival this weekend and/or at our meeting next Wednesday!

Fraternally yours in Christ,

Charity Family Breakfast and Tootsie Roll Drive THIS WEEKEND to Assist Michigan Citizens with Intellectual Disabilities

This weekend after all of our Masses, we will solicit donations as part of the Michigan Knights of Columbus ‘MI Drive’ (more commonly known as the Tootsie Roll Drive). We need the help of every member to make this a success!

Along those lines, we are holding our last Charity Family Breakfast of the season this Sunday, April 23rd with the proceeds also going toward this drive! We hope that all of our friends and supporters will come and enjoy a delicious breakfast, all for just a small free-will offering. (We need the help of every member to make this a success as well.)

The charities we will support this year include:

  • St. Louis Center
  • Special Olympics Michigan – Area 23 (Wayne)
  • The Arc Downriver
  • Angel’s Place
  • St. Francis on the Lake
  • Archdiocese of Detroit (for Intellectually/Developmentally Impaired)

With your help, we can help others! Hope to see you all this weekend! God bless!

Wyandotte Council 1802 Euchre Fundraiser to support Pallottine Fathers on Friday, February 24th

Our sister council, Wyandotte Council 1802, is hosting a euchre fundraiser this Friday, February 24th, to support the Pallottine Fathers. Their Chaplain, Fr. Noel, has informed the Grand Knight, Ron Thoms, that the money will be used to support seminarians becoming Pallottine Fathers. See THIS FLYER (click for flyer – PDF) for details.

Charity Family Breakfast THIS SUNDAY to support St. Vincent dePaul and Downriver Food Pantry

familybreakfast

On Sunday, November 13, 2016, Council 3956 will once again hit the grills and ovens to make a delicious FAMILY BREAKFAST. This month’s recipients are St. Vincent dePaul and the Downriver Food Pantry. Both of these charities need help to feed our Downriver families during this holiday season.

Come by after Mass to the St. Pius Social Hall and join us for eggs, pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice, coffee and/or tea. It’s a free-will donation, so bring the whole family. Even if you can’t afford to pay anything, stop on by… we have you covered!

We will also have tickets for sale for our 4th Annual CHRISTmas Concert featuring the Michigan Catholic Choir for only $10 each!

For my Brother Knights, we can use your help! We still need more volunteers for the breakfast. Please click on the link below and sign up:

We will have Eggs, Sausage, Pancakes, Fruit, plus juice and coffee, all for a free will offering. You can stay for an hour or all morning!

See you all this weekend!
